Gutters & Downspouts
Gutter & Downspout Cleaning in Plain City & Central Ohio
Clogged gutters cause big, expensive problems. We clear them out, flush the downspouts, and make sure water flows away from your roof, siding and foundation.
The Service
What our Gutter and Downspout Cleaning includes.
When gutters fill with leaves, shingle grit and debris, water overflows where it shouldn't — rotting fascia, staining siding, flooding basements and undermining your foundation. We hand-clear and flush your entire gutter system, then confirm every downspout is actually carrying water away from the house.
It's the kind of routine maintenance that's easy to put off until it causes damage. We make it simple: a thorough clean-out, clog removal, a flow check, and debris hauled away. Fully insured and done right the first time.
We clear gutters right across the region — from Plain City and Jerome to Dublin, Hilliard and Marysville. Wherever you are in Central Ohio, your gutters are done the same thorough way.
- Full hand clean-out of all gutters
- Downspout flushing & clog removal
- Flow check — water actually drains away
- Debris bagged & hauled away
- Exterior gutter face brightening (optional)
- Spotting of sagging or loose sections

How It Works
How we clean gutters in Plain City & Central Ohio.
A blocked gutter rarely announces itself. It shows up as a damp patch on a basement wall, a strip of rotten fascia, or a run of siding stained where water has been sheeting over the edge for a season. By the time the problem is visible from the ground, the water has usually been going the wrong way for months.
We clear gutters by hand rather than flushing everything down and hoping. Debris is bagged and taken away, not dropped in your beds or washed into the downspouts where it forms a plug at the elbow. Then we flow-test every run with water to confirm it actually drains, because a gutter that looks clear and a gutter that works are not the same thing.

01
Inspect from the ladder
We check fascia, hangers and seams while we are up there, and tell you what we find — including things that are not ours to fix.
-
02
Hand-clear and bag
Leaves, shingle grit and nesting material come out by hand into a bag. Nothing is dropped into the beds below.
-
03
Flush and flow-test
Every run and every downspout has water put through it, so we know it drains rather than assuming it does.
-
04
Clear the exterior
The outer face of the gutter and the downspouts are wiped down, and we rinse debris off the roof and off the ground.
What changes the price of a gutter clean
Linear feet of guttering is the starting point, but roof height and pitch drive the time more than length does. A single-story ranch is straightforward. A steep two-story with dormers means repositioning the ladder constantly and working slower, for good reason.
- Linear feet of gutter — including secondary runs over porches and garages
- Roof height and pitch — two-story and steep pitches take longer to work safely
- Debris load — a season under mature trees is very different from a light clear
- Gutter guards — guards that must be lifted and re-fitted add time

Frequently asked questions.
How often should gutters be cleaned?
Most homes need it at least once or twice a year — typically late fall after the leaves drop, and again in spring. Homes surrounded by trees may need more frequent attention to stay clear.
What happens if I don't clean my gutters?
Overflowing gutters lead to rotted fascia, stained siding, basement leaks, foundation issues and even ice dams in winter. A routine clean-out is far cheaper than any of those repairs.
Do you remove the debris or leave it behind?
We bag and haul away all the debris we remove — your property is left clean. We'll also flag any sagging, leaking or loose sections we notice while we're up there.
How often should gutters be cleaned in Central Ohio?
Twice a year suits most properties, in late autumn once the leaves are down and again in spring. If you have mature oaks, maples or pines overhanging the roof you may want a third visit, because those drop steadily and block downspouts fastest.
Do you clear the downspouts as well as the gutters?
Yes, always. A clear gutter feeding a blocked downspout still overflows, so downspouts are part of every job. We flush them through and confirm water is running out at the bottom before we call it done.
What happens to all the debris you remove?
We bag it and take it away, and we leave the beds and driveway as we found them. You won't come home to piles of wet leaves on the lawn or gutter grit down the side of the house.
Can you fix sagging gutters or loose brackets?
We'll spot them and tell you, and we can re-secure loose spikes and brackets while we're up there. Full replacement or re-pitching a run is a job for a gutter installer, and we'll say so plainly rather than take work we shouldn't.
Can you clean the outside of the gutters too?
Yes, that's gutter brightening, and it's a separate treatment. It removes the black vertical tiger striping and oxidation that ordinary rinsing leaves behind. Most people add it to a house wash, since clean siding above dirty gutters tends to stand out.
